Baby Black Clothing (BBYBLK) was launched in February 2020 by Casselia Goldson, a british born woman with Jamaican descent. The idea for BBYBLK came when she was unable to find a black dress for her 1 yr old daughter.
She began to realise the lack of diversity in children's clothing and being armed with over 2 decades of experience working in the clothing and fashion industry, she decided she would create a brand completely different to what is on the market. BBYBLK intends to change the negative connotations surrounding the colour Black by introducing it into children's wardrobes combined with bursts of bright colours. Black isn't just for funerals or adults, our children look beautiful in Black too. BBYBLK intends to clothe a future generation combining this powerful colour and beautiful culture.
At BBYBLK, we intend to clothe a future generation in the colour, culture, identity and heritage of black. Having identified a gap in the market, it is our aim to restore the love and beauty of black whilst dispelling the negative connotations surrounding this powerful colour.
We encourage pride in wearing black and are inspired by the indigenous influence of style and African prints worldwide. For our A/W '21 collection we have collaborated with an artist, Sophie Jordan to create an Original African Inspired Signature Print.
